Hailey Cerise, CSW
Hailey received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Social Work
from the University of Utah where her emphasis was in Child Welfare. While
earning her undergraduate degree she had the opportunity to work with
youth entering the juvenile justice system at Juvenile Justice Services Early
Intervention Program. There she advocated for the youth by corresponding
with parole officers and writing court reports. Additionally, she led weekly
groups including Seeking Safety, Advanced Decision Making and Problem
Solving for Teens (ADAPT), and Strengthening Families. It is through this
work that she found her passion for working with youth and their families.
Hailey enjoys teaching families how to effectively communicate and navigate
difficult life transitions.
During her graduate degree, Hailey interned at University Neighborhood
Partners, a community center for folks of refugee and immigrant backgrounds.
There she spent her time providing social and emotional support to families
experiencing stress caused by technological and systemic barriers.
Additionally, she spent her time at an elementary school as a school social
worker assisting in IEP meetings and providing individual and group
counseling. During her time at the elementary school she coordinated and ran
the Parent Home Visit program where teachers and staff would visit their
students’ and their families to discuss their hopes and dreams for their
children and additional ways the school could support their social-emotional
and academic needs. Hailey believes in a strength based approach to
treatment and strives to support her clients in uncovering their greatest
potential to live their healthiest lives.
In her down time, Hailey enjoys spending time outdoors in Utah’s beautiful
mountains hiking, skiing, and snow-shoeing. She loves spending time with her
family and friends doing recreational activities and seeing new movies. Hailey
is thankful to be a part of the Alpine family and to empower the girls in
discovering their true strengths and potential.
