Trevor has experience working with populations from elementary age through adulthood. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Utah where he majored in Psychology with a minor is Business.

While completing his undergraduate work, Trevor obtained employment at a residential treatment center for adolescent boys. Due to the joy he found in this setting, he decided to continue to pursue a Masters Degree from Westminster College in Mental Health Counseling. While in graduate school, Trevor had the opportunity to work at a Women and Children center that specialized in substance detox, and in an outpatient setting where he worked with individuals that suffered from depression, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harm, personality disorders, addictions, psychotic symptoms, family conflict, and interpersonal relationship deficits. Also during his graduate work, Trevor became deeply involved in research that focused on best practices for residential treatment centers specializing in adolescent care, and he continues to be involved in this area of study. After completing his graduate work, Trevor has published his research and presented it at a national conference.

Through this research and personal preferences, Trevor found that utilizing Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Attachment work with his clients has been highly effective. He has continued to expand his therapeutic qualifications by obtaining certifications in Eagala and EMDR therapy; as well as, currently working on his PhD in Counseling through Oregon State University, while fulfilling his therapeutic duties at Alpine Academy Trevor also has experience, through volunteer opportunities and employment, working with refugees, assisting the homeless, writing curriculum for career development, doing service internationally, and adjunct teaching at a local university.

Through all of his experiences, Trevor has seen many people change their lives and gain a greater amount of self-fulfillment. Trevor spends most of his free time in doing activities outdoors, playing intramural sports, and spending time with his wife. He is also excited to be a part of Alpine Academy and assist the clients at this facility become more capable of maximizing their potential in life.
