Royal began working at Alpine Academy as a Family Teacher after receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He worked alongside his wife as a Family Teacher for three years, delivering the principles of the Teaching-Family Model to the girls and families of the Cottonwood Grove Home. During his time as a Family Teacher, Royal and his wife were recognized nationally receiving the “Distinguished Practitioner of the Year Award” from Alpine Academy’s parent company, The Utah Youth Village. His experience on the residential team has been helpful in his current position managing dual roles as Admissions Assistant and Residential Supervisor. His background gives him an ability to help guide families through the admissions process and share personal experiences and insights from his residential experience. He loves seeing the changes the girls are able to make while they attend Alpine.
Royal grew up in a very loving and nurturing home which inspired Royal to seek to help children and families to achieve the same happiness he has in family relationships. Royal enjoys backcountry snowmobiling, whitewater rafting, and participating in obstacle/mud runs, but his greatest joys come from his family. Royal is a grateful husband to his lovely wife Danelle, and proud father of four active and happy children.
