Location
Our two beautiful rural campuses sit at the base of the mountain in the Tooele Valley. It is a 30 minute drive west of Salt Lake City along the gorgeous scenic route of I-80 along the shore of the Great Salt Lake. Alpine Academy includes two campuses including the Mountain View Campus and Lake View Campus which are located approximately 3 miles from one another along the same road. Among other amenities, each campus includes several homes in which the youth reside, a school, therapeutic center, recreation center, and equine therapy with stables and riding rink.
Job Description

Clients are adolescents from all over the country having an immersive residential treatment experience, so you share opportunities to influence students toward change, growth, and progress with certified behavioral professionals who actually live with the students on our residential campus.
Weekly individual, group, and family therapy then folds into the larger context of a structured school and evidenced-based residential milieu. A fun and engaging clinical team surrounds and supports you in this stunning rural setting with beautiful, modern buildings and offices. It’s demanding and difficult work, but with the time and resources to elicit your best in supporting growth and lasting change in these young lives
Objectives
- Provide exemplary clinical services to students and families in the form of psychological assessments and treatment
- Collaborate as a member of a multidisciplinary, integrated treatment team to develop and deliver treatment plans to patients
- Support patients by delivering therapy appropriate to their unique mental health concerns
- Establish relationships with patients that allow them to receive the best possible care, while maintaining professional boundaries and respecting confidentiality
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat adolescents for behavioral and psychological disorders
- Establish a rapport with adolescents to assist them in understanding and accepting treatment recommendations
- Prescribe and implement treatment consistent with the diagnosis and relevant standards of care
- Provide crisis intervention as needed
- Consult with staff to develop diagnoses and treatment plans in accordance with the needs of the student
- Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the industry standards, ethical principles, and Alpine Academy’s Code of Conduct
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MA, MS) in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, or Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
- Full licensure or working toward licensure accepted
