Alpine Academy’s mission for the past 19 years has been to serve our students and their families with the highest quality of care and safety standards. As we evaluate and respond to the quickly evolving COVID-19 Outbreak, we are continually looking at everything we do through the lens of keeping our students, employees and families as healthy and safe as possible. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and take appropriate precautions as events dictate. To date we do not have any students or employees who have been diagnosed with the virus or are experiencing related symptoms.
ALPINE ACADEMY PRECAUTIONS IN PLACE
All employees are strictly following CDC and local government recommendations. Currently our campus is closed to visitors including parent visits. Students are not leaving for home visits. Residential Family Teachers live on campus and we have reduced the number of employees traveling on and off campus including teachers and therapists. Employees who are able work remotely are encouraged to do so. Students are kept within their home group as they move around campus.
We are taking extreme measure to keep the health, safety and best interest of our currents students and staff as our number one priority. If there is a potential student who fits our program and milieu and would be coming from a situation where the risk to coronavirus is extremely low, then we will consider placement. Please contact our Admissions Team at email@example.com, for additional information.
SOCIAL DISTANCING AND SANITATION
All students and employees are social distancing and trying to keep a space from others and avoiding gathering in large groups. Each household has a plan of action and has defined how students and staff can come together and support one another while maintaining healthy practices.
Alpine has always taught, encouraged and reinforced healthy hygiene practices. This is emphasized even more now with the guidelines issued by the Center of Disease Control and Protection (CDC):
- Frequently washing of hands with soap and water and hand sanitizer
- Coughing and sneezing into a tissue or elbow
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- Stay home when you are sick
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces with cleaning products
