Anna Marie Petroff

Anna Marie Petroff is an English Teacher at Alpine Academy with over 12 years of classroom experience. Her background includes four and a half years teaching at another residential treatment center, giving her a strong foundation in both traditional education and specialized therapeutic environments.

From early in her career, Anna Marie was entrusted with supporting struggling youth—work she embraced with sincerity and skill. This blend of experience has prepared her well for the meaningful work she does at Alpine. Her favorite part of teaching here is getting to truly know her students and watching them grow not only academically, but emotionally. Her time in specialized settings has reinforced something she deeply believes: these are good kids who need support that a traditional classroom cannot always provide, and that’s okay.

Outside the classroom, Anna Marie enjoys bowling, knitting, embroidery, and reading, and she values time spent with friends and family. A fun fact about Anna Marie is that she has a background as a semi-professional ballet dancer. The discipline and perseverance she developed through dance continue to influence her work with students, helping her support them with patience, consistency, and care.
