Elizabeth Miller
Potter, Painter, Teacher, Lover of People
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Art (Drawing, Painting, Pottery) along with my Teaching Certificate from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. Since then, I have participated in workshops and artist retreats each year to continue growing in my craft.
Over the past 25 years, I have taught art in a variety of capacities across Mississippi, Alabama, Palm Springs, San Francisco, Maine, Texas, and Utah.
I am skilled in watercolor painting, pottery, sculpture, oil painting, acrylic painting, drawing, printmaking, and other art mediums.
Teaching art—especially the principles of art—is my passion, as they closely parallel the principles of life:
- Focal Point (Emphasis)
- Unity
- Pattern
- Balance
- Rhythm & Movement
- Variety
- Proportion
Everything we wear, use, walk on, or live in was first drawn before it was made. Art is within everything around us. In my teaching, I emphasize that all aspects of art play a vital role in reducing stress, fostering learning, and enhancing creativity in daily life.
