Joe Farabee

Pine Canyon Supervisor
Mountain View

Joe holds two Teaching-Family Model certifications and began his time at Alpine as a Teen LIFE Coach, quickly growing into a leadership role through his strong work ethic and hands-on approach.

Joe is always moving, always learning, and always looking for the next way to improve. That mindset shows up in the way he leads, bringing energy, urgency, and a willingness to jump in wherever he’s needed. What he values most about his work at Alpine is the opportunity to have real conversations with students. His motivation is personal—he strives to offer the kind of support he wished he had when he was younger, creating an environment where youth can be themselves, be challenged, and keep moving forward.

Joe is known for bringing a light, sometimes silly, but always genuine presence to his home. He works to create a space where both staff and students can connect, grow, and not take themselves too seriously while doing meaningful work. Whether supporting his team or working directly with students, Joe is focused on making a lasting impact—one interaction at a time.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys reading, learning about astronomy and psychology, and spending time with his fiancée and their cat. He’s also been skydiving and would gladly tell you about it—just maybe not while eating sushi, which he avoids at all costs.
