John Shaw

John is the Special Education Coordinator for Alpine Academy.  He is an experienced math and executive functioning teacher. He is proud to own a trained therapy dog, Duke. John originally began at Alpine Academy as Family Teacher in the independent lifestyle home, Aspire.

John earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management and has since earned his Associate’s License in Special Education through USBE. He enjoys working with teenagers and watching them grow. He loves to observe and learn from the wonderful people that surround him.

John loves to cook, a pastime he has enjoyed since childhood. He is an avid lover of nature and the outdoors. Most of his free time is spent with family and in continuing his education. He also enjoys playing the tuba.
