Julie Cardon

Ms. Julie brings a unique background with diverse training in educational and real world settings.  She previously taught science at Alpine for several years before stepping away to serve as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Comoros Islands.  Her time there, where she taught English to youth and adults, reflects her love of learning across cultures and environments. She brings that same curiosity into her classroom, where she finds the most joy in watching students become genuinely interested in what they’re learning. For Ms. Julie, education isn’t just about content—it’s about helping students discover the satisfaction that comes from understanding something new.
 
She approaches life with a simple but meaningful perspective: we are all connected, and it’s important not to give up. That mindset shows up in both her teaching and her interactions with students, encouraging persistence, curiosity, and a willingness to try again.
 
Raised in Utah, Julie is deeply connected to the outdoors. She enjoys gardening, farming, hiking, and any kind of hands-on work, and she’s often listening to audiobooks while she’s at it. She values time with friends and family—including her many nieces and nephews—and happily embraces being a bit of a “plant nerd.”
