Kimber Petersen
Kimber’s journey in the realm of youth development and care began as a Teen LIFE Coach, alongside her husband. Nestled in a treatment home, they specialized in providing support to boys within the foster care system. Her commitment to making a difference led her through diverse experiences in Treatment Foster Care, Smarter Parenting, and Families First.
Having dedicated years to Utah Youth Village’s array of programs, Kimber boasts a comprehensive understanding of the organization from both leadership and direct care perspectives. This wealth of experience uniquely positions her to navigate the complexities of supporting and engaging employees in fulfilling the mission of Alpine Academy.
Beyond her professional commitments, Kimber is a firm believer in the mission and values of the organization. A devoted mother of three boys, she cherishes moments spent with her family, particularly at the beach or a vibrant pumpkin patch. Interestingly, Kimber harbors an unusual trait—she’s allergic to the cold, adding a touch of uniqueness to her personality. While she once engaged in volunteer activities like tutoring and supporting entrepreneurship programs in Tuvalu, her current focus remains wholeheartedly on contributing to the mission of Alpine Academy.
