Our 6th annual Alumni Celebration is fast approaching! Our campus will be buzzing on June 21st as we welcome back dozens of our Alpine Academy “extended family” for a weekend of reunion, re-connection, and rejuvenation! We are expecting well over 100 visitors from around the country to join us on campus for this year’s special event!
We are so excited to welcome back our alumnae girls and their families again this year! In addition to lots of laughs and time to reconnect, this weekend allows our current students and their families to learn from the real experts – alumni girls and their families who have implemented what they learned and the insights they gained into the real world.
There have been lots of changes to our campus since our last event in 2012. Last year, we held the event in the unfinished building, with rented lighting and sound equipment.
This year, we are pleased to be able to host this event in the newly-completed Thompson Fitness and Arts Center. This multi-million dollar facility features lots of fitness and exercise options, an art studio, and professional quality theater lighting and sound. The gala program and dinner on Saturday night will be better than ever, thanks to the roomy new facility! We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the advisory council and other supportive alumni families who helped us by donating to build this incredible center!
This year’s event will be kicked off by an opening social for the returning girls, as well as a social for all parents on Friday afternoon. Friday evening, we will have a dinner and program with the alumni, and then will host a dance party for all the campus!
Saturday is dedicated to supporting our alumni as well as sharing with our current parents. During the day, there will be a variety of workshops, guest speakers, and discussion groups focused at providing helpful tools for parents. And while the grownups are busy learning and sharing, the girls will be enjoying a variety of fun activities available. The Celebration Gala on Saturday was created to recognize each alumna, and is also when we will announce the 2013 Lila Award winner. This award was created to recognize a student who embodies Lila’s spirit of giving, compassion, and tenacity.
