Erika Smith

Teaching Assistant

Erika always looks for opportunities to teach others, especially youth, about the things she loves. After spending a year and a half living in Mexico, Erika fell in love with the people, the culture, and the language. Upon returning home, she began her college career at Brigham Young University and graduated with a degree in Spanish Education in 2020.  Erika has been a tutor and a substitute at Alpine for several years previously and is excited to join the staff as a certified teacher. Working with youth is a huge passion of hers, and she enjoys the opportunity to see Alpine students grow, progress, and work towards becoming their best selves.

Erika has coached high school volleyball, has run a youth volleyball league, and jumps at the chance to participate in any sport that involves a ball. Her favorite pastime, however, is spending time with her husband, Jordan, and her little girl, Aly.
