Josey Boyd
Josey serves as the Medical Coordinator at Alpine Academy, bringing over 17 years of comprehensive experience in the medical field. Her diverse background includes roles as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomist, Medical Assistant, and Medical Biller and Coder.
Josey’s journey began at the age of 15 as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where she dedicated four years to long-term care and rehabilitation facilities. Subsequently, she served as a phlebotomist for three years before transitioning to a medical assistant role in pediatrics, dermatology, and family practice. Following the birth of her twins, Josey took on responsibilities as a Medical Biller and Coder, Insurance Manager, and Collections Agent for the same pediatrics office where she previously worked as a Medical Assistant.
Her unique qualifications stem from having experience on both the front end (Receptionist, Medical Assistant, triage MA) and the back end (Billing, Coding, Insurance Management, and Collections) within a doctor’s office, aligning seamlessly with her current role. Josey’s in-depth understanding of medical office intricacies contributes to her effectiveness in managing the youth’s healthcare needs.
Beyond her professional expertise, Josey is a loving parent to three children, including a singleton and a set of twins. In her leisure time, she finds joy in reading, knitting, and relishes any opportunity to spend time in a swimming pool. Notably, despite visiting Mexico six times, she has never been to the Grand Canyon.
Devoted to community engagement, Josey has actively participated in “Relay for Life” events and contributed to after-school programs and the Christmas Box Children during her college years. Currently, she enjoys volunteering at her children’s school, further showcasing her commitment to making a positive impact in various communities.
